Hi there, the name’s P.

Okay, not really, but for the case of this blog, it is.

By no means am I a newbie blogger, even though my archives beg to differ. I began food blogging privately the summer after my junior year of high school on Blogspot, and then switched over to becoming a public food blog on WordPress the summer of 2011. In that span of time, I developed disordered eating habits due to some circumstances, which you can read about here.

Since the summer of 2012, I’ve been putting in a better effort into managing my disordered eating habits and challenging myself through fitness goals and food. I’m taking slow steps, but I eventually want to step away from the calorie-counting which has consumed me since my senior year of high school.

But this blog’s focus isn’t just food and fitness, it’s also about my life as a student. I graduated with a B.S. in Cell Biology a year early, and after a “gap” year in 2013, I recently began a PhD program in biomedical sciences in the Fall of 2014.

Will Study for Food is a blog that tries to find and document the balance between the three things that are a part of me: food, fitness, and studying. It’s about redefining my relationship with food, enthusiastically challenging my fitness level, and pushing the limits of how much biology my brain can handle.

  1. Hey, just stumbled across your blog. I’ve thought about creating my very own blog before about health and fitness, but always thought it would be too personal and am pretty scared of the judgement from others (especially when it comes to meals/exercise). I admire that you found away to share your thoughts on a blog site while keeping your identity private. Good idea!

    1. Thanks :)!
Yes, I feel it’s easier to blog when my identity remains anonymous in order to avoid that judgement, but I also try to honestly blog what I think in order to maintain the trust my readers give me :).
